Curb those Food Cravings

Curbing the Cravings is one of the keys to weight loss.  It takes a few days to get into the weight loss zone and then the cravings ease a bit if you are doing it right.  However, even then there can be occasional cravings---those incessant hunger pangs.  The pill industry makes 1,000,000,000’s of dollars every year selling “reduce those hunger pains” caplets.  Some of them even work a bit.

But the very best way to get control of cravings is to eat 6 small meals every day.  I do it at 7AM, 10AM, 12 noon, 2PM, 4PM, and 6PM.  I use a nutritional program that has worked magic on my health and body.  My doctor was right about the key to my health recovery being based in weight loss.  I should have taken on this battle years ago.

The beauty behind my particular food program is its simplicity.  My meals take almost no time to prepare, other than a few minutes in the microwave.  For a busy guy like me, it’s perfect.

The other secret is the glycemic balance these meals provide as well as the reduced caloric intake per meal.  I have been managing just fine on about 1200-1400 calories per day for many months since September 2011.  I am pushing close to 50 lbs weight lost and that is with a two month hiatus during the holidays. I am also monitoring my # of steps I take, trying to get to 10,000 daily.  I couldn’t be more pleased with how well this has worked for me.
But now what about cravings: Since I eat every couple of hours they are pretty well in check.  When I do rarely feel some pangs, I simply eat a few almonds and raisons.  I drink allot of water and low calorie flavored drinks like Great Value Pink Lemonade at 5 calories per serving.  My digestive system no longer feels bloated all the time.  My energy has improved dramatically.  I feel less arthritic. It’s almost like it’s the magic pill to cure all ills: WEGHT LOSS.
